Our Vision

Our Vision

Middle schoolers who rise above unstable home lives find motivation and academic success through unique job apprenticeships.

Teachers expertly trained in an expansive, innovative network of urban teacher residency programs to better handle inner school issues. Families in a lower-income community who now have money-saving solar rooftop panels.

These are real-time snapshots of our grantees supporting our vision, one person at a time, one neighborhood at a time, and one community at a time — throughout the nation.

We envision a nation where:

Every student in middle school is engaged, excited and wanting to continue on the path of learning, regardless of their life circumstances — and teachers who themselves are engaged and excited to guide these children on the path to success. Through our funding, we seek to advance best practices in and out of the classroom that inspire teacher innovation and professional development, and provide underserved youth with opportunities for more than just an imagined better future.

We are dedicated to navigating communities upward.

Low cost, sustainable, environmentally-friendly solar energy is widely deployed as an alternative to fossil fuels. We see a future where solar is an economical way to produce electricity that transforms the energy economy. Through our funding, we seek to implement effective solar energy programs that provide local jobs, long-term savings for families and improved public health, with a positive climate impact.

Indeed, there are challenges ahead. We see these challenges as vast opportunities in what we can accomplish. We are dedicated to navigating communities upward.
